James Pond is the Founder and Executive Director of Transitions, an organization restoring the lives of young girls rescued from sex trafficking through the power of a dream. After 8 years in the Marine Corps and 10 years in corporate America, James and his family gave up their lives in the United States and began working to combat sex trafficking in Southeast Asia. Transitions operates innovative and holistic programs for survivors that have gained international attention for their professionalism, pioneering spirit, and success. James completed his master’s degree doing extensive research on global slavery issues and has consulted on anti-trafficking projects in Indonesia, Greece, India and the United States. He currently lives between Phnom Penh, Cambodia and Cincinnati, Ohio with his wife and three children.

Krista Neher, Bootcamp Digital

Krista Neher is a bestselling author, international speaker and leading authority on social media, and is currently the CEO of Boot Camp Digital (www.bootcampdigital.com), a leading provider of social media marketing training and consulting solutions. Krista is a social media pioneer; creating one of the first successful corporate Twitter strategies and corporate blogs – long before “social media” was even a recognized term. Jenny Berg, Impact 100

Jenny Berg is a community volunteer and has served in various leadership capacities for several organizations the past fifteen years.  Most recently Jenny served as President of Impact 100, (www.impact100.org) a women’s grant making organization committed to collectively funding significant grants that make a lasting impact on the community.   As the Board Chair of Tender Mercies, Jenny saw firsthand the impact a large $100,000 grant had on transforming the lives of the residents of Tender Mercies, so she chose to become an Impact 100 member, and has been actively engaged the past nine years.  In addition to Impact 100, and Tender Mercies, Jenny has served as Board of Trustees Chair for her high school alma mater, Ursuline Academy.  Currently she is a member of Leadership Cincinnati Class 35, a program sponsored by the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber of Commerce.  She lives in Symmes Township with her husband and is the mother of three, one in high school, one soon to graduate from XU, and one married and off the “payroll”!

Lorri Munafo has been a dance and fitness instructor for over 36 years.  She was an artist-in-residence for Hamilton City Schools in Ohio, an adjunct instructor at  the University of Rio Grande in Rio Grande, Ohio, a guest lecturer at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio,  an adjudicator at many dance competitions around the country, and a frequent presenter at many area dance and fitness events.  She was also the contributing fitness editor for The Activity Director’s Companion, a magazine devoted to the well-being of senior adults.

Lorri is certified by the American Council on Exercise, the American College of Sports Medicine, and the Aquatic Exercise Association, to name a few.  She was recently promoted to the position of membership director for the Mayerson JCC, a state-of-the-art fitness and community center in Cincinnati, Ohio.  For three years prior she was the group exercise director of the facility.  She is currently working on a fitness video called Tabata Tough which will be available in March 2012.

Looking for a fire eater, belly dancer, fire dancer or all of these for your next event? Dante’s Gypsy Circus is a collaborative of dancers and artists who share a passion for fire, performing dangerous feats with beautiful flare.

Taking our individual talents of improvisational dance as well as choreography, costuming, and music compilations, we offer unique performances for festivals, private parties, concerts, cafes, galleries, and more.

Our collective resume includes several varieties of belly dancing, modern, ballet, hip hop and burlesque. By combining movement arts with a variety of fire tools/props, we’re driven to create an atmosphere that is magical, ephemeral, and yet not to be forgotten.

We are available for public or private lessons. $35/hour for private lessons in tribal belly dance and fire arts. Contact us for details on ongoing classes in the northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area.
